Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Merchant Risk Exchange ("MRX") platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Service Description
MRX provides a merchant intelligence platform that enables participating merchants to report incidents, check customer risk at the point of sale, and manage disputes. MRX does not determine guilt or innocence. Risk advisories are based on incident reports submitted by participating merchants and are provided as guidance only.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, passkeys, and recovery codes. You must immediately notify MRX of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for the accuracy of incident reports submitted to the platform. Submitting false or misleading incident reports is prohibited and may result in account suspension. Merchants retain full discretion over service and payment decisions.
5. Customer Rights
Customers may view incident summaries associated with their verified identity. Customers may dispute any incident they believe is inaccurate. Disputed records are flagged and may be reviewed. Resolved records remain on file with updated status, reducing their impact on risk assessments.
6. Data and Encryption
Evidence and personal information are encrypted using end-to-end encryption. MRX operators cannot access the contents of uploaded evidence. Only authorized parties with the appropriate decryption keys can view evidence files. Incident records are never deleted; status changes are recorded and reflected in risk calculations.
7. Limitation of Liability
MRX provides risk advisory services only. MRX is not liable for any business decisions made based on risk assessments. Risk advisories are guidance only and do not constitute a recommendation to deny service.
